There have been lots of rumors on Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Known as Motorola X project, the phone is expected to be unveiled soon after Google launches the next version of Android mobile operating system.

Although previous rumors pointed at a possible reveal at this year’s Google I/O event which is scheduled for May, it appears that the US-based company will keep the secret on its X Project for a little longer.

The latest info on the handset maker’s upcoming flagship device comes from Motorola advisor Guy Kawasaki who published an enigmatic message on Google+.

Basically, he posted a video for the customizable “Porsche Exclusive” and hinted to the customizable features of Motorola’s X phone by saying: “Wouldn’t it be great if you could personalize your phone like this?”

More details on the Motorola X Phone have just been published by the folks over at Phonearena who claim they receive the information from an anonymous source.

This is why we suggest Motorola fans to take this info with a grain of salt before we receive more details from other sources.

According to Phonearena’s source, Motorola X Phone will be released later this year, probably in November.

The smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset that accommodates a quad-core processor clocked at 2GHz.

Another strong point of the phone would be the 4,000 mAh Li-Ion battery which will probably offer more standby and talk time than Motorola RAZR MAXX’s 3,300 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Furthermore, Motorola X Phone is said to feature a 4.8-inch display with sapphire glass coating, which is three times harder than current Corning Gorilla Glass coated screens.

The back of the phone will be made of carbon fiber, while corners will be made with rubber bumpers. It is also worth mentioning Motorola X Phone will be dust and water resistant. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
