After loudly launching the Motorola GLEAM handset, the U.S.-based manufacturer has announced yet another feature-phone, the Motorola WILDER.

Although it's an entry-level handset, Motorola WILDER is advertised as being one of cheapest splash and dust-resistant touch phone available on the market.

Motorola WILDER is expected to be available from July for £49.95 via major retailer Carphone Warehouse.

The handset features a 2.8-inch resistive touch screen and offers users access to their social networking accounts, including Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and YouTube.

In addition to the main display, the WILDER comes with a smaller secondary notification screen, which highlights important information like incoming messages and information on the music track that is played at any given moment.

Motorola WILDER provides on-the-go consumers with a touch screen experience that is splash and dust-resistant, offering a cost-conscious option that is still cool,” said Andrew Morley, vice president of marketing, international markets, Motorola Mobility Inc.

The feature-phone offers an FM radio for streaming music, several popular games, including Need for Speed and Tetris, as well as useful apps, such as Soundhound.

The durable phone is a great addition to our device portfolio and was developed with our customer needs in mind. With integrated social media and a secondary notification screen, users can stay on top of what really matters to them, and being splash and dust-resistant, they can get into the action without worry,” concluded Morley.

Motorola WILDER dual-band phone sports a mediocre 2-megapixel camera, 5MB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 3.5mm headset, micro USB, as well as Bluetooth with A2DP support for wireless calls and music.

The phone is powered by a 910 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 10 hours of talk time or up to 11 days of standby time.
