14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility Italia has just announced the release of a new handset on the local market, the Motorola WILDER, aimed at offering users some of the ruggedness they would like to enjoy when going outside.
The new device is splash and dust-resistant, while packing a touch design. Overall, it is expected to prove a great option for all those who would like to go to the beach or travel the roads of mountains without having to worry about their mobile phones.
The new mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase in Italy in September with a suggested price tag of €89 (VAT included) attached to it. It should reach all main Italian distributors and retailers.
The new Motorola WILDER sports a 2.8-inch touch screen that packs increased durability, along with a 2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, 5MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot through which users can expand the available space by up to 32GB.
Moreover, the new device will offer fast access to various social networking sites, including Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and YouTube, so that users can stay connected with their friends and family whenever they go.
“Motorola WILDER provides on-the-go consumers with a touch screen experience that is splash and dust-resistant, offering a cost-conscious option that is still cool,” said Paolo Prearo, general manager for Motorola's Mobile Devices business, Motorola Mobility Italia.
“The durable phone is a great addition to our device portfolio and was developed with our customer needs in mind. With integrated social media and a secondary notification screen, users can stay on top of what really matters to them, and being splash and dust-resistant, they can get into the action without worry.”
The features list of this new device also includes a series of pre-loaded applications such as Tetris, Game of Life, Need For Speed, Soundhound, along with FM radio and MP3 player, and HTML Web browsing (opera mini).
The mobile phone also includes a 3.5mm headset jack and micro USB charger, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 910 mAh battery that can deliver up to 575 minutes of talk time or up to 255 hours of standby time. Motorola WILDER is a GSM dual-band phone.
