Motorola VE75, the newest touchscreen handset announced by Moto for the Chinese market, was recently spotted in lots of live images, which show the VE75 in all its greatness.

Of course, the handset's beauty (or ugliness, if you will) is up to each and every user to decide upon, but I don't think there are many who will find the new Moto unattractive.

Unlike the other three touchscreen handsets released by Motorola in China (A810, A1600 and A1800), the VE75 does not run on a Linux-based Operating System, but on a mobile platform especially made for Chinese users. Of course, this means that the handset will probably never be released outside the country.

The features of VE75 include: a 2.6 inch TFT touchscreen display with 262K colors, a 16:9 contrast ratio and 240 x 400 pixels, tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, dual-SIM capabilities (allowing you to use two SIM cards at the same time), a user-friendly alphanumeric keypad, Media player, Bluetooth, expandable memory and so forth. The touchscreen Moto also packs a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording but no auto focus or flash, hence it can probably take good photos only outdoors.

Motorola VE75 weighs 137 grams, measures 111.5 x 50.6 x 19.4 millimeters (when not slid) and packs an 850 mAh battery capable of providing a talk-time of up to six hours and a stand-by time of up to 140 hours when two SIM cards are used, or up to 190 hours with only one SIM card.

The new VE75 will be available across China starting August, in two color versions: black and silver/white. It will retail for 3,000 Chinese yuan - hence about $440 or 280 Euros, which is a reasonable price for a touchscreen handset.
