The Maxx V1110 and the L72

Motorola has recently added a new mobile phone to their RAZR family by announcing the Maxx V1100, just another very slim clamshell with average features.

How long from now Motorola will keep on releasing RAZR phones without really improving anything remains unknown. But it looks like the original RAZR was such a huge success, that all phones based on it (upgraded versions) seem to still be appealing for customers, despite them all coming with the same old design.

The Maxx V1110 comes with pretty much the same specs as the Vodafone exclusive V1100, namely HSDPA, a 1.3 megapixel camera, secondary VGA camera for video calling and Bluetooth with stereo headset support. The handset also features a pretty large speaker on the bottom part.

Along with the Maxx V1110, Moto has also launched the L72 SLVR, which is an update for the L7, coming in the same ultra-thin 11.7 mm package but bringing several improvements such as HSDPA, a 2 megapixel camera with zoom and autofocus, as well as a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion that will provide more storage space for music and photos.

Future owners of this phone will apparently also get an improved call quality through making use of a technology suggestively called 'CrystalTalk'.

No details were so far revealed regarding the availability of the price of these two handsets, but they'll most likely follow the Motorola rule, which means that soon enough different color versions of the handsets will be heading on to every mobile operator out there.
