Today, mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility announced the release of a new high-end device for the Canadian market, namely the MOTOROLA ATRIX HD LTE.

Tagged a superphone, the new device will be released exclusively on the airwaves of Bell Canada later this summer, being capable of providing them with access to the carrier’s fast LTE network.

At the same time, Motorola ATRIX HD LTE will deliver a great smartphone experience, courtesy of a large 4.5-inch ColourBoost touchscreen display, and its powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core application processor.

The handset also offers access to exclusive Bell Mobile TV content, as well as to movies downloaded from Google Play, for a better experience while on the go.

The specs list of this smartphone also includes an 8.4mm frame that is made out of DuPont Kevlar fiber, along with a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display that sports an invisible nano-coating to protect it from splashes.

"Motorola ATRIX HD LTE offers a smarter smartphone experience," says David Petrou, sales director, Motorola Mobility Canada. "It delivers shortcuts and convenience with SMARTACTIONS - even extending your battery life so you're never out of power when it matters most."

The new device runs under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and can offer fast access to applications and games available for download through the official Google Play store.

Motorola also packed the handset with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for high-definition video recording. Moreover, the phone packs a front camera for making video calls.

“Strong and smart, ATRIX HD LTE has SMARTACTIONS, a fully integrated, free application that intelligently automates everyday tasks and suggests ways to personalize your smartphone,” Motorola also explains.

“Based on selections you make, SMARTACTIONS optimizes your phone's performance by silencing the device during meetings (but lets VIP calls through), extending battery life when it is low, announcing incoming texts and calls as well as auto-replying when you are driving so you can focus on the road.”

Unfortunately, Motorola did not offer specific info on when the new ATRIX HD LTE would be available at Bell, nor did it unveil details on its price tag.
