Along with the Motorola PHOTON 4G for Sprint, Motorola Mobility and the United States wireless carrier announced the availability of Motorola TRIUMPH on the airwaves of Virgin Mobile USA, Sprint's pre-paid arm.

This is the very first Motorola mobile phone to be released on shelves at Virgin Mobile USA, the duo announced, adding that it is expected to go for sale later this summer, although no specific details on its pricing have been unveiled so far.

“Available this summer, Motorola TRIUMPH is the first Motorola device available exclusively to Virgin Mobile USA customers,” the wireless carrier stated.

“Tech savvy customers will appreciate the feature-rich Motorola TRIUMPH as one of the hottest phones with the added flexibility of a no contract plan.”

The new Motorola TRIUMPH arrives on the market with a large 4.1-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a WVGA resolution, and sports a super slim design, being less than 0.4 inches thick.

The mobile phone is powered by a 1GHz application processor, and enables users expand the available internal memory by up to 32GB via microSD memory cards.

On the back, the new device packs a 5 megapixel photo snapper, with support for HD-Video (720p) recording, complemented by a front-facing VGA camera for video chatting.

Moreover, the handset sports an HDMI out port for viewing content on larger screens, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, 3.5mm audio jack, and aGPS.

The Motorola TRIUMPH measures 4.80 x 2.60 x 0.39 inches and weighs in at 5.04 ounce with the 1400 mAh battery packed inside.

The new device also offers support for corporate email, social networks like Facebook and Twitter, as well as a full suite of Google services, including Google Search, Gmail, Google MapsGoogle Talk and more.

On top of that, the new device will arrive on shelves with Android 2.2 Froyo on board, and with the Virgin Mobile Live 2.0 app, which debuts on it.

“Virgin Mobile Live 2.0 is a social networking music application, which will provide Android users free access to the company's critically acclaimed music stream hosted by DJ Abbey Braden, as well as live music performance videos, and 'check in' features at special events,” Sprint explains.

“All status updates made using the app will also sync with Facebook and Twitter. It will be available in late July at www.virginmobileusa.com and in major retail outlets nationwide.”
