Motorola has finally taken the wraps off the ATRIX HD Android smartphone. Previously known as Motorola MB886 or Dinara, the device is now listed on the company’s site, though we’re still waiting for an official statement that would confirm the phone’s availability and pricing options.

In the meantime let’s check out the ATRIX HD main specs. It appears that Motorola will ship this one with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard, along with some of the company’s innovative apps and services.

Design-wise, the ATRIX HD features a RAZR-like design and is made of premium materials similar to those used for Motorola RAZR’s manufacture.

According to Motorola, the ATRIX HD is made with DuPont KEVLAR fiber in a microweave pattern, which makes it solid and protects it against accidental drops.

Nevertheless, the strong point of the phone and what makes it appealing is the hyper-vibrant 4.5-inch HD ColorBoost capacitive touchscreen display, which features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Motorola claims the screen sports 50% more pixels than other top tier smartphones, which means higher resolution, greater details and sharper images.

On the inside, the ATRIX HD is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB.

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for self-portraits and video calls.

More importantly, Motorola ATRIX HD offers LTE support which means the phone embeds a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset inside. Last but not least, the smartphone drains energy from a 1780 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Given the fact that the ATRIX HD bears AT&T logo we expect this one to be exclusively launched in the US in the following weeks for a price that will be disclosed closer to release date.
