Earlier this week, info on a series of connectivity issues affecting Moto G users in India emerged online, with confirmation coming straight from Motorola, and the handset vendor appears to have managed to resolve the issue already.

Some users in India who purchased the Moto G through Flipkart found out that their phones were unable to connect to wireless networks in the country, due to the fact that not all of their IMEI numbers were registered with wireless carriers.

At the time, Motorola confirmed the problem and also said that it was already working on resolving it as soon as possible.

Flipkart also stepped on the matter, offering monetary compensation to all users who bumped into the aforementioned issue.

Users were provided with a series of alternatives, including the possibility to change the phone for a new, working unit, or to get their money back altogether.

However, Motorola also said that a fix was coming, and that users with devices that were affected should wait for it to arrive. Those who did so can now take full advantage of the capabilities of their handsets, it seems.

Today, the company has announced on Facebook that it has resolved the problem, and that all Moto G users in India can now have their smartphones connected to the network of any wireless carrier they desire.

Moreover, the mobile phone maker has unveiled that the aforementioned problem was affecting Moto G units with IMEI numbers starting with 3533, as they were not registered with wireless carriers in India, thus preventing users from connecting them to a network.

“‎MotoG‬ update: We wanted to let you know that we now have #MotoG devices with IMEI nos starting with 3533 registered with ALL network operators. All impacted customers can now activate your phones immediately,” the company has said on Facebook.

“Once again apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and faith in Motorola,” the handset vendor has also stated.

Owners of Motorola devices in the country who experience other issues with their smartphones and would like to receive support for them are advised to either dial 1800-102-2344 or to go to Motorola’s support website to learn where they can find authorized repair centers in the country.

On said website, Motorola also offers a series of troubleshooting guides for its Moto G and Moto X handsets, and users should have a look at them to see whether their problems could be resolved without a visit to one of the aforementioned centers.
