Mobile phone maker Motorola has made available for download an updated flavor of the Motorola Boot Services application, so as to provide users with a new, World Cup-related feature.

To be more precise, those who choose to download and install the new version of the app will see that a World Cup boot animation has been added to their devices.

The mobile application has been designed to work only on Motorola’s Moto handsets, which means that only those with a Moto X, Moto G, or Moto E smartphone will be able to take advantage of its features.

The release notes attached to the new software claim that it includes “new media to enhance the phone power-up experience,” which translates into the aforementioned updated boot animation. Of course, the overall experience that Motorola’s handsets can offer hasn’t changed, users who reboot their devices often will be able to enjoy the aforementioned enhancement.

The new version of the Motorola Boot Services application can be found in the Google Play Store today. It is listed as compatible with devices running Android 4.2 and up, yet all Moto handsets are already loaded with the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
