Motorola has announced the release of a lower version of Motorola RAZR - W220. The new model has been unveiled at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona, and it's targeting the new emerging markets and the people that can't afford to buy the more expensive version of Motorola RAZR.

The phone's design offers pretty much the same experience as its much popular version, but does not include MP3 capabilities and external display for caller ID purposes. Instead of those Motorola offers a simple set of three icons on the outer face.

Anyway, the handset still comes with some 'goodies' like FM radio, 600-entry phonebook, 128 x 128 pixel color display, alarm clock, WAP 2.0 browser and support for MMS, SMS and NSM messaging services. Motorola RAZR W220 weighs only 93 grams, and has an impressive claimed talk time of 497 minutes and about 293 hours in standby.

The phone is expected to be available on the market for mass sales during the 3rd Quarter of 2006.
