Motorola RAZR is available for purchase in India for quite some time now. However, the handset manufacturer officially announced the smartphone recently, along with its price tag.

The RAZR is available at select stores in select cities for as low as Rs 33,990 (650 USD or 485 EUR) without having to sign for a new agreement.

Motorola also mentions that the phone's suggested retail price is Rs 35,990 (690 USD or 510 EUR), but no major retailer in the country will sell it for this amount.

Dubbed the thinnest LTE-enabled smartphone at only 7.1mm, Motorola RAZR follows the same slim form factor of the original clamshell handset that was launched several years ago.

One of the best-selling mobile phones of all time, the original Motorola RAZR redefined what a mobile phone was as people worldwide proudly flaunted their fashion items,” said Robert van Tilburg, senior regional sales director for Motorola Mobility in South Asia.

Motorola RAZR is built with premium materials that protect it against scratches or accidental spills. The back cover of the phone is made of KEVLAR fiber, while the gorgeous 4.3-inch SUPER AMOLED Advanced touchscreen that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution is protected by Gorilla Glass display.

Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Motorola RAZR provides access to more than 300,000 apps and games via Android Market, which offer unlimited customization options.

It is also worth mentioning that Motorola RAZR will be among the first wave of smartphones to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in early 2012.

Motorola empowered the RAZR with a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit, as well as 1GB of RAM.

There's also 16GB of onboard memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

With the new Motorola RAZR smartphone we’re bringing sexy back in a stylish and sleek body with the power to create experiences you won’t find in any other smartphone. We expect style-conscious and technology-savvy people in India will be eager to get their hands on this new fashion icon,” concluded Tilburg.

On the back, the phone boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, while on the front there's a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper, which is perfect for video calls.
