It looks like Motorola is betting a lot on the Chinese smartphone market. The company has just announced the immediate availability of the Motorola RAZR MAXX via authorized retailers across China.

The smartphone is exclusively available in the United States through Verizon Wireless. China is the second country where Android enthusiasts can purchase the RAZR MAXX, and will probably be the last unless Motorola doesn’t launch a similar smartphone for other regions, in the following weeks.

There’s no word on the smartphone’s price tag, but those who wish to purchase it can check it out to the nearest authorized reseller.

The main selling point of the Motorola RAZR MAXX XT910 is the high-capacity 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 380 hours of standby time or up to 21 hours of talk time.

There are no difference between Verizon’s DROID RAZR MAXX and the Chinese version. This means that the RAZR MAXX XT910 will be delivered with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system out of the box.

However, the device has already been confirmed for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, though an exact release date has yet to be unveiled.

The smartphone is only 8.99 mm thick and features a brilliant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD 540 x 960 pixels resolution, and features scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Under the hood, users will get a dual-core 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor complemented by 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit. There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera on the back, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

This unbelievable battery puts Motorola RAZR MAXX XT910 in a class by itself. Not only do you get everything you love about the Motorola RAZR, but now you get the power to last through marathon calls, hours of surfing the Web, or streaming movies. You’ll drop long before this phone ever does,” said Frank Meng, corporate vice president and president of Motorola Mobility China.
