US-based handset maker Motorola Mobility and Spanish carrier Yoigo have just announced the availability of the RAZR MAXX smartphone.

The smartphone will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box, though Motorola confirmed the RAZR MAXX would receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update in the following weeks. Customers in Spain can now purchase the Motorola RAZR MAXX through Yoigo.

Following the success of the Motorola RAZR, the RAZR MAXX offers the same premium experience, but longer battery life.

Motorola RAZR MAXX comes with an exceptional 3,300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 25 days of standby time or up to 17.6 hours of talk time.

In addition, the smartphone features the same premium materials, including KEVLAR fiber, Corning Gorilla Glass and splashguard coating.

The handset also sports a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Furthermore, the RAZR MAXX boasts an impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

Hardware-wise, Motorola RAZR MAXX is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In the connectivity front, the smartphone offers multiple options, including HSDPA and HSUPA, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP support.

RAZR MAXX isn’t changing the rules - it’s creating a whole new game. Building on the RAZR heritage it combines the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power and an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits.

Whether you want to watch hours of movies, or don’t want to worry about charging between meetings, this latest smartphone from Motorola redefines boundaries and banishes the low battery beep to history,” said Juan Carlos de la Vela, general manager Motorola Mobility Spain SL.
