Although Motorola announced the upcoming availability of the RAZR MAXX in the UK, the US-based company did not unveil the exact release date.

However, major retailer Clove UK has just confirmed Motorola RAZR MAXX is due to arrive on May 18. Customers will be able to purchase the device for £430 ($695 or €535) off-contract.

The RAZR MAXX is expected to hit shelves in other European countries in mid-May. We can safely assume that the handset will be available for purchase around the same time frame.

Motorola’s Android phone comes with a high-capacity 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 380 hours of standby time or up to 17.6 hours of talk time.

Motorola RAZR MAXX will be shipped with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on board, but the phone is slated to receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Q2 2012.
