Australian wireless carrier Telstra is gearing up for the launch of Motorola’s RAZR M smartphone on its network, and has already kicked off the pre-order period for the device.

The handset is listed on the company’s website as available for reservations on the $60 per month plan and with a delivery date set for October 30.

At a minimum cost of $1440 after MRO bonus 24-month term, the plan also provides users with $600 value for talk and MMS, unlimited texts and 1GB of monthly data.

Additionally, they will enjoy the benefits of Motorola’s smartphone, which comes with a 4.3" qHD 540 x 960, 16M colors, Super AMOLED Screen and with a 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor packed inside.

The mobile phone also sports 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, as well as a MicroSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space.

The specifications list of this device also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of delivering full HD video recording. A VGA front camera should enable users to make video calls.

The smartphone arrives on shelves with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on board, yet Motorola has already promised an upgrade to the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.

Motorola RAZR M also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass, splash-guard coating and DuPont Kevlar protection, as well as with battery saving enhancements through Motorola’s SMARTACTIONS software.

“Experience the compact, 4.3" full-screen 4G mobile that fits in the palm of your hand. Web pages, apps, videos — everything’s clearer on the big edge-to-edge screen,” Telstra notes on its website.

“The RAZR M has you covered with the Chrome browser and Google Maps with turn by turn navigation. Plus, with Voice Actions for Android, there's no need to type. Stream videos in seconds and play multiplayer games without the lag in 4G coverage areas.”
