Motorola Mobility has confirmed that it will offer the highly anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade to several of its 2012 generation smartphones, including the RAZR HD.

However, the information has only been confirmed for the United States, though some of the company's devices are available in Canada as well.

The good news is that Motorola Canada has just updated its support site and RAZR HD LTE is confirmed to be eligible for the Android 4.4 KitKat update, MobileSyrup reports.

The said upgrade will arrive at both Rogers and Fido carriers, so those who have purchased their Motorola RAZR HD LTE devices through these network operators will be pleased to know that they will receive the update at some point.

Although there's no word on when exactly KitKat will be available for RAZR HD LTE in Canada, we suspect that Motorola will begin the trials next year. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
