Motorola has just announced its RAZR Android flagship smartphone is now available in Greece. Although the handset maker did not disclose any details regarding the smartphone’s price, it’s likely that this one won’t come cheap unless heavily subsidized.

It’s unclear how popular the RAZR will become in Greece, especially given the fact that the country is close to bankruptcy.

Anyway, the RAZR seems to be prepared for Greek customers, as the phone is built to last, so there’s something to gain from grabbing this one.

Introduced by Motorola Mobility Hellas, the Motorola RAZR is the company’s thinnest Android devices and one of the slimmest LTE-enabled smartphones on the market, at only 7.1mm.

With the new Motorola RAZR we have re-imagined an icon. The most captivating Android-powered smartphone on the scene, it’s thinner than your friends’ smartphone and better looking too!” says Spiros Tsitos, country manager for Greece & Balkans, Motorola Mobility.

The back of the phone is made of KEVLAR fiber, while the screen is protected against scratches by Corning Gorilla Display. On the inside, the smartphone features splash-guard coating that protects it from rain and occasional spills.

When it comes to hardware, the Motorola RAZR is one of the most powerful smartphones launched by Motorola. The devices is equipped with a 1.2 Ghz TI OMAP 4430 processor, which is complemented by a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit.

The smartphone pack 16 GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It also boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities, as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Software-wise, Motorola RAZR is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, but is scheduled to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in early 2012.

In addition, the phone is pre-loaded with MotoCast application that allows users to stream and download content from their home or work computer directly on their Motorola RAZR.
