Motorola RAZR is about to make its debut in Spain. On the opening day of the Mobile World Congress 2012, the company announced the upcoming availability of the Motorola RAZR in the country.

Customers who want to grab the RAZR will be able to do so for free on select contracts. Motorola confirmed that the smartphone would be available through Yoigo, the fourth mobile phone operator in Spain, from March.

Built to last, Motorola RAZR features strong KEVLAR fiber on the back, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass coating that protects the display against scratches.

Design-wise, the smartphone is impossibly thin at only 7.1-mm thickness. It also measures 130.7 x 68.9mm and weighs 127g (battery included).

For the time being, the RAZR is shipped with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on board, but Motorola promised the smartphone will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update within the following months.

The smartphone is powered by a TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which is complemented by a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM. It embeds 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Another strong point of the RAZR is the hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen display, which supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Last but not least, the phone boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video-calls.

With the new Motorola RAZR we have re-imagined an icon, it’s an impossibly thin smartphone with mind-blowing power that Spanish consumers will want to show off. Now launching such icon with Yoigo strengthens the availability of this must-have smartphone in Spain. Motorola RAZR is the perfect smartphone for entertainment-driven users as well as those who need business-ready security and features,” said Juan Carlos de la Vela, general manager of Motorola Mobility España SL.
