Today, mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility announced the availability of its Motorola RAZR smartphone on the local market in Chile, on the airwaves of Entel.

The new device packs a thin and lightweight design, while offering great performance capabilities to all users.

The new device comes with a sculpted glass front, as well as with “diamond-cut aluminum accents,” Motorola notes. The handset features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced touchscreen display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The specification list of the new device also includes KEVLAR fiber coating, along with a fast dual-core 1.2 GHz application processor and Google’s Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system.

Mobile phone users in Chile can now purchase the new mobile phone via Entel, for free on the carrier’s $59.99 multimedia plan that also includes 800 minutes.

Motorola RAZR can offer great performance capabilities via its 1.2 GHz CPU that arrives paired with 1GB of RAM. This means that users will get great multitasking in the palm of their hands.

“Rock your playlists while you check your email, breeze through photos – all at the same time without delay,” the mobile phone maker explains.

“In addition, Motorola RAZR comes preloaded with Motorola´s MotoCast app1, giving you the power to stream or download content from your computer straight to your device - so your personal library is always within reach.”

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for 1080p HD video recording. It also packs a front-facing 720p HD video camera, great for making video calls.

Motorola RAZR also arrives on shelves with a microSD memory card slot to expand the available internal memory, as well as with WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity, and the like.

"The original Motorola RAZR managed to turn a functional need an object of desire. And now we have achieved this again with the creation of this incredibly thin smartphone, with a really attractive design that let you take your life with you all the time," said Fernando Sanchez, general manager for Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility Chile.
