Tomorrow, mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility and wireless services provider Verizon Wireless are expected to make official a new handset based on Google's Android operating system, one that might sport the name of DROID RAZR.

The handset has been spotted into the wild before, and was also seen in a series of different names, including Spyder and DROID HD, but it seems that the two might actually go for DROID RAZR in the end.

While no specific info on the new phone was made available, Motorola did place a counter on its website, pointing at the near launch.

There are a little over 30 hours left until the new smartphone will become official, and we're expecting something impressive to be unveiled.

Last week, Motorola announced that they will be unveiling a new device tomorrow, and even offered a series of clues on the new device, courtesy of a promo clip that can be seen embedded below.

The company said that we're to expect for a Faster, Thinner, Smarter and Stronger device, which would be in line with the rumors that emerged on the new smartphone.

The handset is said to land on shelves with a 1.2GHz application processor inside, complemented by 1GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

The new device would also include a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, as well as support for the wireless carrier's 4G LTE network.

Rumor has it that it would be very thin, becoming the thinnest LTE phone to date, and that it will also be capable of delivering more performance capabilities than the newly released iPhone 4S.

For the time being, all that we have on the phone are only rumors but, as the counter on Motorola's website shows, all should become official as soon as tomorrow, so keep an eye on this space to learn additional info on this.
