The smartphone is available for free on three-year contracts

Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell has made available for purchase on its airwaves a new Android handset coming from Motorola, namely the Motorola PRO + 4G.

The new mobile phone was put up for sale for $0 with the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Users who would like to purchase the device on shorter contracts will also be able to do so, as the device is available on two-year and one-year deals as well, and is also put up for sale contract free, for $349.95.

The new Motorola mobile phone features a compact design, while also being able to provide users with features that would make communication very simple, such as a QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen display.

“Equipped with a touchscreen and full keyboard, the MOTOROLA PRO+ runs on the Android platform. The PRO+ is packed with productivity tools and offers tons of apps and media options too.” Bell explains.

The specifications list of the new device includes a 3.1" VGA touchscreen display that can deliver a 640 x 480 pixels resolution, complemented by the aforementioned physical keyboard and a powerful application processor inside.

The handset was packed with 4 GB of internal memory and with a microSD memory card slot that enables users to add up to 32GB of additional storage space into the mix.

The new device also comes with a 5 megapixels photo snapper on the back, with support for video recording.

Motorola PRO + 4G includes support for the wireless carrier's HSPA network, offering speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps. It also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity capabilities, along with GPS receiver, USB connection, and a headset jack.

The mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and offers support for a variety of applications and games that can be downloaded via the Android Market, as well as for services that Google made available for all of its Android users.
