Sprint users who would like to reserve one Motorola PHOTON 4G unit before it went for sale on July 31st have now the possibility to do so via RadioShack as well, after being made available for pre-order through other retailers in the United States a few weeks ago.

Through RadioShack Motorola PHOTON 4G was made available for only $179.99 with the signing of a new contract agreement with Sprint, though users will also be able to acquire the device without committing to a contract agreement, for $579.99.

At Sprint, the smartphone was made available for reservations for $199.99 on contract, which makes the RadioShack offer a better one.

The Motorola PHOTON 4G is a dual-core Android-based mobile phone that should arrive on the market with a large touchscreen display, and with support for a wide range of applications and services.

“Motorola PHOTON 4G: Sprint and Motorola are taking wireless innovation to a new level with Sprint's first 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor smart phone on the Sprint 4G Network,” the retailer notes.

With Motorola PHOTON 4G, users will find it easy to manage their lives, offering access to both business and entertainment features while on the go.

“Built with Android 2.3 "Gingerbread", PHOTON 4G combined with Sprint's 4G network, lets you browse, download, and multitask at maximum speeds to support your on-the-go lifestyle,” the retailers continues.

The PHOTON 4G offers the perfect blend between personal and business needs and boasts enterprise quality security for Android, international GSM capabilities, a 4.3" qHD display, dual cameras, and a kickstand for hands-free viewing.”

The smartphone was packed with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for 720p HD video recording, and with a front camera for video calling. It can also offer 1080p video output through HDMI port.

The usual set of connectivity options, including WiFi, Bluetooth and the like were included into the mix as well, along with a built-in GPS receiver, and Hotspot capabilities, with support for a number of up to 8 WiFi-enabled devices.
