Available for purchase for Sprint Premium Customers a few days ahead of its official launch, Motorola PHOTON 4G has just hit shelves and is now available for all customers for as low as $199.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year agreements.

Motorola PHOTON 4G is a Sprint exclusive, but the phone can be purchased from various major retailers, including RadioShack and Best Buy.

This is Sprint first 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor smartphone and is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

It comes with a brilliant 4.3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 540 x 960 pixels resolution, as well as accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

The smartphone provides users with a perfect blend between personal and business features and boasts international GSM capabilities, dual cameras and a kickstand for hands-free viewing.

In addition, the PHOTON 4G offers a wide range of versatile tools, such as the Motorola webtop application, which allows users the opportunity to access and create content from a larger screen while connected to a Motorola HD Station dock, which is available for purchase separately.

The phone also packs 16GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as a superior 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and HD (720p) video recording capabilities.

According to Sprint, Motorola PHOTON 4G is the carrier's seventh Sprint ID-capable device, which provides access to a variety of apps, widgets, shortcuts, ringtones and wallpapers, especially designed to meet users’ needs and interests.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that Sprint ID packs are free to download with an Everything Data plan.

Potential customers should know that they can download five Sprint ID packs at once, including Professional, Green, MTV Music ID, HSN and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ID Pack.
