The new handset should become available in Q2 2009

While being spotted in the wild a few weeks ago and lots of leaked photos and details have surfaced on it since then, the new Motorola Evoke QA4 has been officially announced by its maker only today. According to the mobile phone manufacturer, the new handset comes to the market as a “socially-inclined device.”

We have already presented some details on the Motorola Evoke QA4, yet it is high time we made a recap and added some more info to the equation. First of all, the new mobile phone sports a 2.8-inch touch-screen display, able to provide a 240 x 400-pixel resolution, while also including a sliding alphanumeric keypad.

Motorola Evoke QA4 comes with a built-in accelerometer, allowing users to enjoy its on-screen QWERTY keyboard when the device is turned on its side. The device also sports a CDMA and EVDO Rev A connectivity, as well as A-GPS capabilities.

The feature list of the handset also shows it comprising integrated widgets, a full HTML browser, Instant Messaging capabilities and Messaging icons, a Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a music player and a 2-megapixel photo snapper. The mobile phone measures 108 x 50.5 x 17.5 mm and weighs 128 grams. Its battery is expected to be able to provide users with up to 5.5 hours of talk time, as well as with up to 450 hours of standby time.

According to the mobile phone maker, the new Motorola Evoke QA4 will become available on the market in the United States starting with the second quarter of the ongoing year. For the time being, the company hasn't unveiled any details regarding the price tag that the device is expected to come with.
