Motorola: No New LTE Handset Teased on Facebook

Yesterday, Motorola posted on its Facebook page a teaser image of an unknown phone, encouraging users to guess which device it is and saying only that it packs 4G LTE connectivity.

The company also said that it would announce the true identity of the device on Friday, and we all started to make assumptions of that this device might be.

As it turns out, it won’t be a new, yet unannounced smartphone. Motorola themselves posted on Facebook that this is a phone that was already made available.

“Our ‘Guess the Smartphone’ Facebook post references a device that is already available in the U.S. market. It is a game intended to engage with the Facebook community surrounding features of this pre-existing device,” the handset vendor said.
