The mobile phone could easily feature a 5.5-inch touchscreen

At the end of July, Mountain View-based Internet giant Google made official a new flavor of its mobile operating system, in the form of Android L, which will arrive sometime this fall with a great deal of enhancements inside.

The company hasn’t confirmed a specific release date for it, nor has it announced a smartphone that might hit shelves with Android L loaded on top right from the start, but enthusiasts are already dreaming of the day when they will be able to purchase such a device.

Designer Hasan Kaymak is one of them, and he decided to up the ante and envision what one of the first Android L smartphones could be all about.

Called Motorola Moto XL, his creation is nothing more than a concept device, but it is a great-looking one and could very well prove a rather accurate render of what Motorola will release next.

At the moment, Motorola is part of Google, which explains why the designer chose to envision the Android L smartphone as coming from this company (even if Lenovo is set to take over the handset vendor shortly).

No specific info on what the concept device features in terms of hardware has been provided as of now, but the size of the phone could very well suggest a 5.5-inch touchscreen display on its front, concept-phones notes.

In line with the specs included in the latest Moto smartphones out there, we could see Moto XL rocking a quad-core Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM, so as to deliver great performance capabilities to its users.

Those who kept an eye on the recent rumors on Moto X+1 know that this phone is expected to feature specs higher than those in Moto X, so it would be safe to assume that a Moto XL – should one ever be created – will sport even better internal circuitry.

On the back, the concept device could feature a 13-megapixel camera, paired with a high-quality front camera for taking selfies (especially with this feature becoming increasingly popular among smartphone makers lately).

One other thing that Moto XL could arrive with is exchangeable back covers for increased customization features, the same as Moto X and other new Motorola phones sport.

However, keep in mind that this is only a concept phone, and that there’s little chance that Motorola will launch a Moto XL device, especially one that will look as the one in the render above.
