We reported earlier today that Motorola is gearing up for a massive Android 5.1 Lollipop rollout to most of its Moto X, Moto E and Moto G series of smartphones.

The changelogs of these updates have already been published by Motorola, so now it's only a question of time before the US-based company starts deploying the update.

However, it looks like Android 5.1 Lollipop won't be the only thing coming out from Motorola soon, as news about another Moto X smartphone have just emerged online via STJS Gadgets Portal.

The said source claims it got access to a list of specifications for the unannounced Motorola Moto X (3rd gen), which is likely to be released in the coming months.

As always, we recommend our readers to take these reports with a grain of salt until we get more details from different sources and corroborate so we can get the bigger picture.

Motorola chose Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset

Back to the Moto X (3rd gen), it looks like this will be Motorola's next flagship smartphone, so expect high-end features to be included in this one.

For example, the smartphone is said to boast a stunning 5.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

In addition, the Moto X (3rd gen) is said to pack 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with Clear ixel technology. Also, in the front, there will be a 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Motorola's unannounced smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset that accommodates a hexa-core processor and no less than 4GB of RAM.

Last but not least, the Moto X (3rd gen) will be packed with either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory, as well as a 3,280 mAh battery. There's no mention of microSD card for memory expansion for the moment.
