The problem has only been fixed while roaming with the Moto G

We reported last week that Motorola Moto G received a small maintenance update, meant to addresses some of the bugs brought with Android 4.4 KitKat.

One of the most annoying bugs was related to the signal reception which, users have reported, constantly drops even while roaming. Motorola thought this issue could be solved via a software update, but this might be in fact a hardware problem.

Many Motorola Moto G owners who received the last software update 174.44.1 supposed to address this issue report they continue to experience signal drops. However, one thing Motorola seems to have done right, signal loss does not affect Moto G users while roaming.

According to the company, the small update is also meant to fix the wallpaper cropping issue, along with the low call volume problem some users experience.

Unfortunately, another volume-related issue has now been discovered by Moto G users. It appears that on capturing a Home screen, the volume decreases at the same time. This issue hasn’t been reported before, so it must have been introduced by the small update rolled out last week.

Here is hoping Motorola quickly finds a solution to the signal reception loss issue; otherwise, many Moto G owners will turn back their devices and get a refund.
