14 DAY TRIAL // As expected, Motorola Moto G has just hit shelves in India. The smartphone is exclusively available for purchase via major retailer Flipkart for the next two weeks or so.
Other retailers will also offer the Moto G after the exclusivity period ends, including Snapdeal, but for the time being customers can only get it via Flipkart.
Motorola launched the dual-SIM version of Moto G in India, but potential customers will also be able to choose the amount of storage.
The 8GB Moto G is now available for purchase at Flipkart for only Rs 12,499 ($200 / €150) outright, while the 16GB model can be had for slightly more at Rs 13,999 ($225 / €165).
Motorola Moto G ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but the US-based handset maker confirmed an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade will soon be available for download.
Indian customers will be able to grab the Moto G for an excellent price and apart from that Flipkart also runs some promotional offers that will probably make Android fans even happier with their Moto G purchase.
Those who plan on buying the Motorola Moto G via Flipkart will be eligible for one of these four promotional offers: - Rs. 500/- off on Flipkart eBooks; - Rs. 1000/- off on Clothing; - Flat 70% off on Moto G color shells; - Chance to win 100% cashback in Store credits (limited to 100 customers).
The dual-SIM version of Moto G comes with a more than decent 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.
The phone sports a large 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.
