Motorola Moto G has already been available in India for quite some time now, but Android fans were only able to purchase the GSM version exclusively through online retailer Flipkart.

Flipkart has managed to score two partnerships with Motorola for the exclusive distribution in India of both Moto G and Moto X smartphones. However, at least one of the exclusivity agreements seems to have ended, as Indian carrier Reliance is now selling the Moto G as well.

It’s unclear if Flipkart had exclusivity over both GSM and CDMA variants of Moto G, but the fact remains that Reliance has only started to offer the smartphone this week.

As Mobigyaan points out, potential customers can now pick up the Motorola Moto G CDMA via Reliance for only Rs 13,490 outright, which is about $225 or €165.

However, those who can’t afford to pay that amount can also grab the subsidized version of Motorola Moto G for only Rs 1,205 ($20 / €14.5), but they will have to sign up for a Zero Plan with the purchase of the smartphone.

The Zero Plan will offer unlimited local and STD calls, 3,000 SMS per month, free national roaming and unlimited 3G data, over a period of 6 or 12 months.

According to Reliance, the Moto G CDMA is now in stock, but those who purchase the smartphone should expect to receive it in 4-7 working days. The carrier also mentions that its CDMA version of Moto G is imported from the international market, but it comes with one-year warranty.

It is also worth mentioning that Reliance only sells the 8GB variant of Motorola Moto G, so keep that in mind before making your investment as the smartphone does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Aside from the fact that the CDMA version of Moto G lacks a SIM slot and completely relies on Reliance’s network for communication, there are no other differences between this one and the Moto G available through Flipkart.

This means that it will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and it will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

In addition, the smartphone sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

The Moto G features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording and is powered by a 2070 mAh non-removable battery.
