US-based handset maker Motorola Mobility is on a roll these days, as the company has launched two new smartphones that are likely to become smash hits among Android users, the Moto E and Moto G (4G).

Both smartphones were introduced in India, Canada, the United States, Germany, Mexico and Brazil a few days ago, but they are only available in some of these countries.

More recently, AusDroid reports that Motorola has officially introduced the Moto E and Moto G (4G) smartphones in Australia, though the handset maker did not share any details regarding the phones’ availability and price tags.

However, rumors claim that the Moto E will go on sale for around $150 AUD ($140 / €100) outright, while the upgraded version of Moto G will probably be available for purchase in Australia for $300 AUD ($280 / €205).

As mentioned earlier, Motorola did not confirm when exactly these smartphones would hit shelves in Australia, but sources familiar with the matter say that the Moto E and Moto G (4G) will be released by mid-June.

Android enthusiasts in Australia will be pleased to know that Motorola will introduce the dual-SIM version of Moto E, which comes with something called “intelligent dual-SIM.” Thanks to this feature, the Moto E will learn which contact you call from one SIM and which are called from the other one.

That way, you won’t have to select the SIM you want to call from, as the Moto E will use the one that has been most frequently used to call a certain contact.

But that is not all. Motorola has also promised that the Moto E will be among the first smartphones available on the market to receive the latest Android updates launched by Google.

According to the company, the Moto is a “self-regulated,” which means that it will bypass carrier’s testing and approval process given the fact that the affordable smartphone does not benefit from any subsidies from operators.

The second Motorola smartphone going on sale in Australia by mid-June, the Moto G (4G), is just an upgraded version of the budget-friendly handset that comes with only two more features.

As the name suggests, the upgraded Moto G offers 4G LTE support. In addition, it comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), so users won’t be stuck with much less than 8GB of storage as with the standard version.

Apart from that, the Moto G (4G) comes with similar specs as the original model, including quad-core CPU, 4.5-inch display and Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
