Bad news for Android fans in India who did not manage to secure their Moto E purchases, as the smartphone is now out of stock at Flipkart.

The Indian retailer that has exclusivity over the Motorola Moto E’s sales in the country confirms that the next shipment is likely to arrive in about a week from now.

Motorola Moto E went on sale in India on May 14 at midnight for only Rs 6,999 ($115 / €85) outright, which judging by the phone’s specs and how fast it sold out, is a great deal.

Those who still want to grab the Moto E and don’t mind that the smartphone now appears as backordered, should know that it will take the retailer between 7 and 10 days to ship it.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to be certain that the smartphone will arrive in stock next week, though judging from the previous experiences, Flipkart usually keeps its promises.

On a side note, those who book the Motorola Moto E now will still be able to take advantage of the three launch day deals offered by Flipkart: 50% discount on Moto E covers, 50% discount on Transcend 8GB microSD memory card and free eBooks worth Rs 1,000.
