Android enthusiasts in India eagerly waiting to get the cheapest Motorola smartphone available on the market, the Moto E, will be pleased to know that the retailer has announced that a new shipment of units will be up for sale tomorrow, May 23.

Motorola Moto E was launched in India last week exclusively through Flipkart. The affordable smartphone has been priced at only Rs 6,999 ($120 / €87) outright, which seems like a great deal considering its specs.

The low price, combined with the decent specs, is probably the main reason that the smartphone was sold out in less than a day. According to Flipkart’s officials, there were no less than 80-100k Moto E units in the initial stock, so it looks like the smartphone is pretty popular among Android fans in India.

Even though the retailer sold all Moto E units in the initial stock, it continued to accept bookings for the smartphone, which probably produced a huge backlog of orders that needed to be fulfilled.

During the weekend, Flipkart received a few thousand Moto E units in stock that disappeared from the shelves instantaneously possibly in order to fulfill all those pre-orders that followed soon after the smartphone was sold out.

Today, the Indian retailer has announced that it will start selling the Motorola Moto E once again, beginning tomorrow, May 23, at 11AM sharp.

However, according to Flipkart, only 20,000 Moto E units will be available for purchase, which is a small number considering that around 100k devices were sold in half a day when the smartphone was initially launched in India.

There is no mention of which color versions will be available, but Moto E was initially launched in both black and white color options. In addition, Flipkart has already started selling flip covers for the Moto E and there are 6-7 different colors available for purchase.

One of the most important things about the Moto E is the fact that it comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, so there’s no need to wait for the update. In addition, Motorola has announced that its smartphones will be among the first to receive any future updates released by Google.

Aside from that, the Moto E packs quite a lot of decent features, including 4.3-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion.
