You'll have a choice between several round OLED faces

The Moto 360 Smartwatch from Motorola is one of, if not the most highly anticipated smartwatch of the year, and perhaps the most hyped-up of all wearables as well. Considering this, it's not that shocking to learn that some people are actively searching through every web nook and cranny for extra info.

The efforts of an individual on Reddit have just been rewarded. Technically, the source of the latest unofficial update is the Moto 360 website itself, but it was the fan's diligence that unearthed the new information.

Said information comes in the form of a press photograph of the Moto 360 smartwatch featuring a metallic silver colored face and strap, complete with what appears to be a butterfly clasp.

The band itself isn't that different from the ones previewed before, but the color is different, lighter, and the clasp type appears to have been switched out entirely.

You can see the new clasp (left) and the old one (right) in the picture above, along with the color difference. Clearly, Motorola is aiming for as broad a coverage of customer tastes as possible.

For most wrist watches, if you want to change the strap or anything else about it, you have to look around the market or Internet-based stores until you find something that fits.

Motorola will remove this hassle by making various belt colors, materials, clasp designs and even watch face options available at launch.

The different faces were decided upon following a survey that allowed everyone with Internet access to vote on which looked best or was the most practical, or both. We tallied the winner and the runner-ups of the Moto 360 smartwatch face contest last month.

All in all, despite the price of €249 / $249, the Android Wear device (Android Wear is the operating system made specifically for wearable gadgets) is bound to sell quite well once it finally starts shipping this summer.

Besides the various strap and frame material/color options, the Android Wear OS and the round OLED display faces up for grabs, the Motorola Moto 360 will offer wireless charging support (magnetic induction).

Hopefully, the operating system will get over its large, fatal flaw by the time Moto 360 comes out. In case you haven't learned, paid apps don't work on Android Wear due to a bug. Essentially, they can't be installed. Google should issue an update in the near future, but no exact date is known, since the problem has only just been spotted.
