Might come to Verizon and Sprint too

One of the mobile phones that the handset maker Motorola is expected to release on the market during the ongoing year under the Google Android operating system is the Motorola Morrison, a device that has just passed through FCC's courtyard. The most interesting part of the equation, however, is that the model spotted on the Commission's site comes with support for CDMA frequencies.

The handset has been seen wandering through FCC's hallways before, only that back then it had support for T-Mobile's bands, and we all assumed that this would be the carrier to bring it to the market. As the new FCC filing shows, the Motorola Morrison seems poised to become available through more carriers in the US, as the new supported bands point towards Verizon or Sprint.

According to CellPhoneSignal, which uncovered the entire story, the documents available on FCC's website show a battery that would be used for a single Motorola phone, none other than the Morrison. The newly spotted handset is expected to come to the market with EVDO 800 / 1900MHz, while also featuring Bluetooth with EDR and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as the same battery as the previously seen device.

For what it's worth, things seem to be as clear as possible. Motorola already announced that it was committed to come to the market with two Android-powered mobile phones during the ongoing year, while also unveiling the fact that the handsets would hit the shelves of two major carriers in the US. T-Mobile seems to be one of them, while the other might be Verizon, which is expected to release the other Android device from Motorola, supposedly called Sholes.

In case things line up the way they seem to be, Verizon might launch both the Morrison and Sholes, and its subscribers will definitely have two great Android devices to choose from. Morrison, as many of you might already know, is expected to come as a mid-level handset, while the recently spotted specs of Sholes showed a high-end one.
