New unannounced Moto phone

Motorola Ming A1800 is one of Moto's unannounced (and obviously unreleased) mobile phones that could help the company to get over the not-so-great period it has been in lately.

Although there are no official details about the new handset, we know enough about it to say it's quite a cool device. Plus, thanks to Boy Genius Report, we also have several pics with the Ming A1800, showing it to look pretty good, although a bit bulky.

Following the line of A1200 and A1600 (available only in China for the moment), the new Ming comes in a clamshell form factor and has no hardware keypad, hence most of the interaction with it will be made through the touchscreen display - a pretty uncommon but welcomed feature for clamshell phones.

One of the strongest points of Motorola Ming A1800 is the fact that it allows you to use two SIM cards at the same time. The handset also offers dual-type connectivity, GSM and CDMA, hence it can be used almost anywhere in the world. Other known features that Ming A1800 will come with include a Linux-based Operating System that offers a high level of customization, Bluetooth connectivity and a 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, which should offer a pretty good photo quality. Unfortunately the new Ming doesn't seem to come with HSDPA connectivity, and that could turn away users from buying it.

There's no info about the release of Motorola Ming A1800 yet, nor about its estimated price. However, since CTIA Wireless 2008 debuts tomorrow (April the 1st), we can hope Moto will showcase there the new Ming along with its other unannounced phones, including the MotoZine ZN5, a new Q-series smartphone and a music-orientated handset.
