Mobile phone maker Motorola announced a while ago the launch of a new handset on the market in Europe, the Motorola Milestone XT720. Released as an upgraded version of the company's Korean Motorola Motoroi, the new Milestone XT720 recently landed on the market in the UK with Google's Android 2.1 operating system on board. The handset was available for free via Expansys on a Vodafone £25 monthly plan, and now was put on sale at Clove too, priced at £358 without a contract agreement.

Starting with Monday, July 19, all mobile phone users in the UK interested in this appealing handset from Motorola have the possibility to head over to the retailer and make a purchase. In case there are some who might think that the phone's price tag is enhanced, they should take a look at the specs list the device comes with. All of them can be viewed on Clove's website here.

First of all, there is a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, complemented by an 8-megapixel photo snapper with xenon flash and HD video recording capabilities that go hand in hand with a HDMI to HDTV connectivity option. The phone includes 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, HSDPA 3.6 Mbps capabilities, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth v2.1, A-GP, FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm headset jack, a 1420 mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The XT720 is issued with Android 2.1 (Éclair),the same as market leading devices such as the HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S I9000. It has an 8MP camera with a host of features, including a Xenon flash and HD video recording. Included with the device is an HDMI to HDTV cable, making it very simple to share media on a TV. With the Android operating system, multitasking couldn’t be easier. Within minutes of powering up the XT720 for the first time, you have the ability to sync multiple email accounts, keeping business and pleasure separated,” the retailer says about the new device.
