It looks like Motorola Milestone is making its exit from the Indian market, as the phone is now on sale from online retailers.

Motorola Milestone is now available for purchase for just Rs 14,000 ($285 or 207 EUR) from Flipkart, but the other online retailer may sell the smartphone for a similar price.

However, the phone may not be on sale in stores yet, the folks over at AndroidOS claim, though Android fans who badly want this slide-out QWERTY smartphone may want to check at the closest store.

The Milestone was launched in India almost a year ago as a high-end Android smartphone, but its value dropped considerably over the last months due to the launch of next generation devices that offer an enhanced performance.

The smartphone was delivered with Android 2.1 Eclair at launch, but Motorola deployed a Froyo upgrade several months ago.

Unfortunately, those who purchase the smartphone will be stuck on Android 2.2, as Motorola does not plan to roll out a Gingerbread upgrade for the Milestone.

Obviously, the main strong point of the smartphone is the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which makes texting faster and more comfortable.

Furthermore, the Milestone is equipped with a low-performance 600 MHz TI OMAP 3430 processor and a PowerVR SGX530 graphics processing unit.

In addition, it comes with a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 854 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass display.

The handset packs 133 MB of internal memory, 256 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

The 5-megapixel camera on the back features autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities.

According to the manufacturer, the 1400 Li-Ion battery provides up to 350 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.
