Motorola and Ferrari are well-known for their long term partnership, which resulted in some of the phone manufacturer's handsets to be released bearing the Ferrari brand. Motorola Z8 and Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Editions are just a few of these limited edition handsets that are trying to bring together Ferrari and Motorola fans.
The latest asset to the
Motorola-Ferrari lineup is the Motorola Milestone Ferrari Edition, which is probably being produced in limited quantities.
According to the guys over BGR (BoyGeniusReport), the exclusive smartphone will be given to members of the Ferrari board, executives, and possibly to a few good customers of the company.
Don't expect changes spec-wise, as Motorola Milestone (Droid)
Ferrari edition is getting the same features as the original model.
The only noticeable difference is the “extremely” red color, as well as the small “cavallino rampante” visual symbol stamped on the back cover of the smartphone.
Just to refresh your memory, Motorola Milestone comes with 3.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors support (480x854 pixels resolution), multi-touch input method, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, full QWERTY keyboard with 5-way navigation key.
The smartphone is powered by a
ARM Cortex A8 600 MH CPU and runs Android OS v2 (Eclair).
Other key features of the
Android device include: HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, microUSB port, digital compass, GPS with A-GPS support, 133 MB storage, 256 MB RAM, microSd card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB card included).
The slider sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus,
dual-LED flash, geo-tagging and video recording capabilities (D1 720x480 pixels@24fps).
Motorola Milestone is powered by a 1400mAh Li-Ion battery, which was rated by the manufacturer for up to 6 hours and thirty minutes of talk time, or 350 hours of standby.
