There is no word on the smartphone’s pricing options, but Motorola Mobility has just announced the availability of its Milestone 3 in Chile.

Customers can now purchase the slider Android smartphone from main carriers in the country. One of the newest Android-based phones launched by Motorola, along with the RAZR, the Milestone 3 sets a new milestone for Android fans living in Chile.

Although the handset does not pretend to be the thinnest in the market, Motorola Milestone 3 features a sleek and stylish design. The smartphone measures 123.3 x 64.1 x 12.9 mm and weighs 184g (battery included), which puts it in the heavy category of Android phones.

Apart from the thin slide-out QWERTY keyboard that allows users to type faster and more accurate, the Motorola Milestone features a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit.

Furthermore, the Milestone 3 sports an impressive 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that boasts 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors support. It is also worth mentioning that the phone’s display is protected against scratches and scrapes by Corning Gorilla Glass.

In addition, it boasts a powerful 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and digital zoom, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera to video chat with friends and family.

According to Motorola, the Milestone 3 comes pre-loaded with Connected Music, a personal music dashboard powered by TuneWiki, which allows users to access and play music from their libraries saved on other devices, including home PCs.

On the inside, Motorola Milestone 3 packs 16GB onboard memory, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Milestone 3 by Motorola catapults people into a new realm of productivity. The Milestone brand invokes a sense of advanced intelligence and mind-blowing speed, and we wanted to build upon that standard to create a device that users won’t want to put down whether they are at work, at home, on the road or in the air,” said Fernando Sanchez, general manager for Motorola Mobile Devices Chile.
