14 DAY TRIAL // Motorola has just announced two affordable Android-based phones will be available in Spain next month, the MOTOLUXE and DEFY MINI.
According to Motorola, customers will be able to get the MOTOLUXE via Orange for free with a Delfin 40 contract. The DEFY MINI will be free of charge as well, but it will require customers to sign up for a Delfin 20 contract.
Motorola MOTOLUXE is expected to arrive in Spain on April 1, while the DEFY MINI will hit shelves on April 15.
Unveiled several weeks ago, both smartphones will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with Moto Switch UI on top.
Hardware-wise, Motorola MOTOLUXE is the better-featured with an 800 MHz single-core processor inside, 1 GB of ROM and 512 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
“At Orange, we always bet on the general use of terminals with great functionality at an affordable price, and with the launch of MOTOLUXE and Motorola DEFY MINI, we take another important step towards that strategy,” said Juan Luis Velázquez, Devices Strategy director for Orange Spain.
The DEFY MINI is powered by a low-performance 600 MHz single-core CPU and packs 512 MB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot (up to 32GB).
The selling point of the MOTOLUXE is the impressive 8-megapixel rear camera, as well as the 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution.
The affordable MINI DEFY is the smallest in the DEFY series, but comes with similar dust and water resistant features and Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
