It appears that Motorola has finally released a software update for Motorola MOTOLUXE devices in Canada, which is meant to fix some connectivity issues.

The guys over at MobileSyrup report the update is now pushed through OTA (over the air) to all Bell and Virgin Mobile Motorola MOTOLUXE units.

As we mentioned earlier, the update fixes loss of data connectivity and addresses instances of unable to send SMS. In addition, it corrects Music Store icon disappearing from home screen after installation.

Software version 1_74D_1022 should be available for download manually from Motorola’s servers as well, but we suggest MOTOLUXE users check for it on their smartphones first.

Motorola Mobility usually rolls out these updates in waves, so it might take a while until all Motorola MOTOLUXE devices receive it.

UPDATE: Motorola has finally released an update that claims it fixes Wi-Fi connectivity issue. More details are available here.
