Android fans living in Hungary rejoice as Motorola has just announced the upcoming availability of the budget-friendly MOTOLUXE smartphone in the country.

The handset will be available sometime in April via T-Mobile Hungary. Motorola MOTOLUXE will be offered for a suggested retail price of 79 900 HUF (355 USD or 270 EUR). No word on the subsidized price yet, but it involves committing to a new two-year agreement.

Powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, the MOTOLUXE provides access to more than 450,000 apps via Google Play store.

In addition, the smartphone integrates Motorola’s MotoSwitch user interface, which puts the most used features, apps and contacts only a click away.

Aimed at youngsters, the MOTOLUXE sets itself apart from other mid-range Android smartphones, with a lanyard slot that lights up when users miss a call or they receive a text or email message.

At first glance, the phone looks impressive with its large 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels.

On the back, the MOTOLUXE boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

Although the number of MP is quite high, the camera has been stripped from other advanced features, so we don’t think we should expect it to be on par with other complex 5-megapixel cameras.

On the inside, the device is equipped with a low-performance 800 MHz single core processor, an Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB of RAM and 1 GB of ROM. The amount of storage can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.

By combining sleek style with Android brains, MOTOLUXE is ideal for people who want the latest technology in a sophisticated package. Not only does this smartphone have a big screen and the latest, greatest entertainment tools, it’s affordable and won’t take a bite out of your budget,” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz, head of marketing, Central Europe, Motorola Mobility.
