Taiwanese handset maker HTC is not only company that launched a Facebook-oriented phone on the market. Many other manufacturers tried to attract customers with such a device, but none had any success with these handsets.

Motorola MOTOKEY Social, as the name suggests is aimed at social network addicts. The feature-phone was unveiled back in November and hit shelves the same month.

This weekend the MOTOKEY Social reached Chile. The phone was previously launched in other South American countries, but beginning this week , it will be available from all major carriers across Chile.

No word on the pricing options yet, but taking into consideration that the mobile phone is offered by leading operators it's likely to be affordable when purchased with some sort of plan.

Also known as Motorola EX225, the device combines a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard, to make it easier for users to take advantage of the phone's social networking features.

Motorola MOTOKEY Social has a 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 240 pixels resolution and 262k colors.

More importantly, the phone comes with a dedicated Facebook button that allows users to share pictures or videos directly on their social network account.

The phone comes with a 50MB of internal memory, 128 MB of ROM, 64 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). There's also a 3-megapixel camera on the back that features video recording.

The MOTOKEY Social is powered by 910 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manfuacturer for up to 670 hours of standby time or up to 8 hours of talk time.

We are committed to launching competitively priced cellular telephones with the features demanded by consumers who still do not have a smartphone, but need access to e-mail, create Wi-Fi hotspots to give internet access and social networks,” said Fernando Sanchez, general manager for Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility Chile.
