It looks like South America is Motorola Mobility’s new playground. The US-based handset maker launched lots of budget-friendly smartphones in various countries in the region, as well as several feature-phones.

Motorola MOTOGO! is one of the feature-phones that already hit shelves in Peru and Brazil. Today, the mobile phone manufacturer announced the handset is available for purchase in Argentina as well.

Unfortunately, the Motorola did not unveil any details on the phone’s pricing options, though it did mention customers would be able to buy the MOTOGO! from any major carrier in the country.

Besides its low price, Motorola MOTOGO!’s main attraction is the full QWERTY keyboard, along with HSDPA and HSUPA support.

According to Motorola, the handset offers up to 7.2Mbps download and 5.76Mbps upload data speeds on supported carrier networks in the country.

Another feature that sets the MOTOGO! apart from other budget-friendly feature-phones is the dedicated Google search button, which is meant to provide a “smartphone-like experience.”

Motorola MOTOGO! comes with a small 2.2-inch display that supports 320 x 240 pixels resolution and 262k colors, as well as 50MB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

It is also worth mentioning that the handset is shipped with a free 2GB microSD memory card in the sales package, though we recommend customers to check this one out with their carriers.

On the back, the phone sports a sub-par 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities. Surprisingly for a low-end feature-phone, the MOTOGO! comes packed with Wi-Fi support.

The phone is powered by a 910 mAh Li-Ion battery which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 350 hours of standby time or up to 5 hours of talk time.

An easy-to-use keyboard and a dedicated Google search button, help MOTOGO! to make it easy to streamline users’ search and quickly find information that matters to them most. It also comes with a ton of other valuable features like 3G router and Wi-Fi. And all at a price that won’t break the bank,” said German Greco, marketing product director, Motorola Mobility.
