Motorola recently unveiled its latest high-end EDA (Enterprise Digital Assistant), the MC75, which targets mobile enterprises that need worldwide connectivity packed into a resistant and multi-featured device.

For those who might not know, an EDA is some sort of PDA mainly designed for usage in industrial environments, hence you shouldn't be surprised at seeing the look (and size) of Motorola MC75.

Some of the features that the new MC75 EDA brings are: a 3.5 TFT touchscreen display with 640 x 480 pixels, A-GPS, Windows Mobile 6.0, both GSM, HSDPA and CDMA-EVDO Rev A. connectivity, Wi-Fi, IrDA, Bluetooth, USB, a 2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, an Intel XScale PXA270 processor at 624 MHz, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM and a 3800 mAh battery. The MC75 also comes with a 26-key alphanumeric keypad and several keyboard options, including 44-key QWERTY, 44-key QWERTZ and 44-key AZERTY. Moreover, the new Motorola EDA resists drops on concrete from up to 5 feet.

Talking about the new Moto handheld, Bob Chen, vice president and general manager of Mobile Computing, Motorola Enterprise Mobility, stated: "Building off the success of the MC70 EDA, Motorola's best-selling rugged mobile computer for field mobility solutions, the new MC75 EDA is a testament to our continued ability to anticipate the ever-changing needs of today's fast-growing global mobile workforce with features like GPS and 3G operability. The MC75 provides ultimate performance in a size-optimized rugged form factor and illustrates Motorola's commitment to deliver the latest integrated technology to drive compelling solutions that enable enterprise customers to gain a competitive edge."

Motorola MC75 EDA will be made available in late June, but its price has not been announced yet. For a video presentation of the device, you can check out Motorola's official website, found at this address.
