A few days ago, info on a new Android-based mobile phone from Motorola made it into the wild, and now some photos with the device are available for your viewing pleasure.

The handset in question is the Motorola MB520 Kobe, which can be admired in the photos attached to this article, and which is said to sport the codename of “Diablo.”

According to the latest news on this device, it should be released into the wild on AT&T's airwaves, while proving a better phone than the previously Motorola Android handset at the carrier did, the BlackFlip.

All in all, it seems that the upcoming Motorola MB520 Kobe should arrive as a mid-range smartphone packing a touchscreen display, with no QWERTY keyboard included into the equation.

However, the new mobile phone is expected to bring Motorola's MotoBlur solution to AT&T on top of that Google Android 2.1 operating system it is running under.

On the specs side, the new Android-based handset should include a TI OMAP processor clocked at 800MHz, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 2GB of internal memory.

The available storage space can be expanded through microSD memory cards, as the phone supports cards of up to 32 GB. A 2GB card should be included in the package right from the start.

On the back, the Motorola MB520 Kobe is said to include a 3.0-megapixel photo snapper, while packing a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 854 pixels resolution on the front.

Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n is expected to be included into the mix too, as well as other connectivity options.

All in all, the upcoming mobile phone seems set to prove a nice addition to AT&T's lineup, even if it might not manage to become as popular as Motorola's DROID family did.

Unfortunately, specific info on when the new device should be released on AT&T's airwaves were not unveiled nor on the price tag it might feature when put on sale.
