It’s unlikely that will be the promised Android 4.0 ICS

It looks like Motorola is running a new soak test for one of its devices available at Verizon Wireless, the DROID Bionic.

As expected, only DROID Bionic owners who joined Motorola Feedback Network have been invited to participate in this preview of a new software release.

Obviously, those who are selected to be part of this soak test will have to provide feedback on the update. We’re not sure yet what this update is all about, but it’s unlikely to be the promised Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

If this is a just a maintenance update, we will certainly get an official changelog from Verizon Wireless, a few days ahead of launch.

Hopefully, we will have more info on the nature of this soak test in the following days. Stay tuned for more details on the matter.
