Motorola continues to expand its portfolio of Android smartphones with a new entry-level handset, the Moto E (2nd Generation). The new smartphone will soon be available for purchase for only $150 (€130) outright.

The second version of Moto E comes with only a few improvements over the original model, but these differences might be very important for some.

Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) comes with 4G LTE connectivity, which the original Moto E does not have. In addition, it sports a slightly larger 4.5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display.

The first Moto E handset features a smaller 4.3-inch display with the same qHD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The smartphone will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop

However, Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) will be available in two variants, so depending on the market customers will be able to get the 3G or LTE model. We have already mentioned the price for the LTE version, but the 3G model will cost only $120 (€105).

The 3G model is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

On the other hand, Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) with LTE features a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Both versions come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Furthermore, Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and video recording (720p), as well as secondary VGA front-facing camera.

Unfortunately, the main camera lacks LED flash, so users won't be able to take snapshots in low-light conditions. Last but not least, Motorola announced the new version of Moto E will be powered by a 2,390 mAh battery.
